The debt, shame and guilt  that covered humanity was larger than life, but redemption was on its way. A King was born to bring salvation to the world. He was born of a virgin just as He spoke about through the prophets. The Word became flesh and took on the punishment for all humanity. He calls us from behind the fig leaves and through His sacrifice we are now covered with a coat.

We are called to be disciples of Jesus representing the kingdom of heaven and discipleship comes at a cost. Being a disciple is an invitation while carrying the cross is an instruction. Are you willing to consider the cost to follow Jesus?

At times in our life we can get comfortable in the safe zone. We keep risks low and remain unchallenged. Truth is, the growth happens in the deep-end and we don't have to do it alone. When Jesus steps into the boat we are challenged to go into the deep-end and into uncharted waters. He invites us to walk with him as we go "Against All Odds."

At times in our life we identify with things that we would like to redo. We allow our identity to be wrapped around our past mistakes, failures or times we missed the mark. Jesus wipes the slate clean and identifies us as righteous by His sacrifice on the cross, by His Grace and Mercy. We are who God says we are.

It's easy to be thankful for all the good things that happen and go our way in life. It's easy to be thankful when things are going great. It is another level of spiritual maturity when we can thank God when He says "No, not yet", or for the unanswered prayer. Can we thank God for ALL things?

Love is often misunderstood creating misconceptions due to our negative experiences. We must face the difficult questions such as, can I be loved? How do I prove I'm worthy? How do I receive love and how do I love others? We find the answers as we Enter His Gates and find the missing link.

Happiness has always been a constant pursuit and highly sought out for. Unfortunately the target is always moving. When Jesus is the source we can experience happiness and the inexpressible joy of the Lord. Ending the pursuit of happiness is the beginning of the relationship with the Lord.

Should good things only happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people? In "Bend But Don't Break" we look at how Jesus responds to the belief that bad things happen to only those who miss the mark and how misleading it is along with the implications.
We learn from Jesus' interaction with the woman suffering from the spirit of infirmity mentioned in Luke 13:10-17.
